Together makes trio of internal promotions to intermediaries’ team

Specialist lender Together has promoted Emma Barker, Hannah Read and Harrison Reeve to its intermediaries’ team.

On the intermediaries’ team, Barker will be head of roving underwriters for personal finance, Read will be a commercial roving underwriter, and Reeve will take on the role of telephone business development manager (BDM).

Barker will oversee the day-to-day management of the lender’s personal finance roving underwriters. This covers monitoring submission volumes, quality and turnaround times.

She has been with Together for more than three years, initially joining as roving underwriter and then becoming team manager. Before that she worked at Roma Finance for just under a year and was at Together for nearly 19 years prior to that.

Read has worked at Together for nearly seven years, joining as a commercial mortgage processor before becoming a commercial underwriter, and then senior commercial underwriter.

Before that, she was a mortgage administrator at Edward Mellor for almost two years and was previously a customer service administrator at The Co-operative Bank for over a year.

Reeve has been with Together for just under a year, joining as an intermediary sales executive earlier this year. Before that he was a mortgage advisor at a number oof different firms, starting his career at Acumen Financial Advisors.

Tanya Elmaz, director of intermediary sales at Together, said: “At Together, we place a lot of emphasis on our people, and these three appointments demonstrate our commitment to developing colleagues internally.

“Emma, Hannah and Harrison are all much-valued members of the team, and the skills they will bring to their new positions will be invaluable. Through expanding our intermediaries team, we hope to be able to work closer than ever with our broker partners, helping our customers achieve their property ambitions.”

Barker continued: “I have been with the business for a total of 22 years now, and can honestly say I love working at Together. The culture, the ambition, the resilience and the continued focus on delivering great outcomes for our customers and business partners is what makes us stand out from other lenders. To have been a part of its growth is incredibly rewarding.

“The business also matches my passion for change and development, we consistently challenge ourselves to make things better.”

Read added: “Working in financial services was always my ambition, and so to have been given the opportunity to grow my career here is a huge honour. Together really does have a family feel and I look forward to continuing to grow and progress.

“We want to provide the best service here at Together, and I am excited to make a real difference in the field.”

Reeve said: “Having spent almost four years as a mortgage broker, I can relate to the challenges and needs of our intermediary partners. My focus is on bridging the gap for new brokers joining us – especially those transitioning from a more traditional high-street background – whilst showcasing the unique lending opportunities we provide.”

Together recently confirmed that Richard Rowntree would join the firm as a chief executive and executive director from early 2025.
