OSB Group has set up a programme to support its female leaders and it is also in celebration of National Inclusion Week, which started on 23 September.
The initiative includes a new Excelling in Team Leadership course in conjunction with two existing courses for mid-level and senior roles to help women in the group to reach their professional potential.
OSB Group will also hold an internal roadshow this week to mark the inclusive activities and initiatives it has held over the last year, including the results of its second internal diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) survey.
As well as the roadshow, colleagues will be able to attend TED Talk-style sessions that cover areas of inclusion such as inclusive language, women’s health, mental health awareness, imposter syndrome and more.
The aim of the week is to encourage all colleagues to share their knowledge and best practice, while supporting each other and focusing on their career and personal development.
Carly Spittle (pictured), head of learning engagement at OSB Group, said: “I am delighted to welcome our very first Level 3 cohort, who will be developing and learning new management skills over a comprehensive 12-month learning programme. This course is aimed at employees at the start of their leadership and management journey, helping us to build the capability of female leaders at every stage in their careers.

“The introduction of this leadership course is another step the group is taking to promote inclusivity, as it’s open to all females in the business (including trans colleagues), regardless of seniority and role. By providing the right tools, skills and knowledge, we hope to help our female colleagues prosper both within the business and the wider financial services arena.”
Alexa Brunt, operational resilience manager at OSB Group, added: “I have been at OSB Group for six years, and in that time, I have been promoted three times. Having already completed the Future Supervisors and Manager Programme that the group offers, it felt like the next step in my learning journey when the new Excelling in Team Leadership was announced.
“I am hoping this course will not only give me the tools to further progress my own career but also help me to drive my team’s success and their individual goals.”
