Hampshire Trust Bank appoints House as BDM

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Chloe House (pictured) as a business development manager (BDM).

House will cover the newly established South coast region amid substantial demand in the area.

Alex Upton, managing director of specialist mortgages at HTB, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Chloe to our team.

“Her experience and knack for understanding the nuances of complex cases are exactly what we need as we continue evolving our proposition to meet the real-world needs of brokers and their clients.

“At HTB, it’s never about a one-size-fits-all solution; it’s about being adaptable and finding the right fit for each unique scenario.

“Chloe’s addition reinforces our commitment to staying agile and responsive, especially in a market that’s moving so fast.”

Previous experience

House was previously a finance specialist at SPF Private Clients, as well as a mortgage adviser at Fox and Sons.

HTB said House’s ability to find creative solutions for complex cases makes her an “ideal fit” to support its brokers.

Andrea Glasgow, sales director at HTB, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to introduce a new region to our BDM team.

“The South coast was previously covered by Aimee Amphlett, our BDM for the South West, and Serena Grewel, our BDM for the South East.

“But it’s become clear that there is such significant demand in this area that it warrants creating a third Southern region.”

She added: “HTB’s BDMs are well known for building incredible relationships with brokers, as those bonds help us deliver time and time again on complex cases.

“Chloe’s experience means she knows exactly what makes a great BDM and how HTB is setting the bar in delivering a higher level of service.”

House said: “I’m thrilled to join HTB and get started with supporting brokers across the South coast.

“My background as a mortgage adviser has given me valuable insight into the importance of the BDM role and how strong relationships with brokers can help get deals over the line.

“HTB’s reputation for finding solutions, even when there are complex elements to a case, really attracted me to the role.

“I’m excited to be a part of this team and bring our common-sense, can-do approach to more brokers and borrowers.”

This latest addition follows a series of moves by HTB to expand its specialist mortgages broker support team.

This includes the addition of four new lending managers and Ceri Blackwell as head of new business, as well as the creation of the field-based underwriter role, held by Greg Barnard.
