HLPartnership hires Brown as propositions director



Mortgage and protection network HLPartnership (HLP) has appointed Matt Brown as its propositions director.

He has 20 years of experience in the financial services sector and joins from Primis Mortgage Network where he worked for three and a half years, most recently as head of proposition. 

In this role at Primis Mortgage Network, Brown supported broker relationships and developed propositions for the intermediary market.  

Before this, Brown was at Econveyancer for three years as its national account manager, where he contributed to the growth of broker and distributor partnerships. 

He started his financial services career at NatWest, where he worked for almost 14 years in a number of roles including branch manager, area mortgage manager and most recently, regional quality and development manager. 

Brown (pictured) said: “I am delighted to be joining HLP at a time of significant opportunity for the network. Having worked closely with HLP in the past, I know the business is built on strong values and an unwavering commitment to its advisers.

In recent months, HLP has announced the appointments of Preeti Ferrier as its regional sales manager for the South and Peter Curran to its board as partnerships director. 

In September, BetterHomes made an undisclosed investment in HLP which will include “complementary expertise” for the firm to refine its services.
