Home moving group Movera has made a strategic investment into Collaborative Conveyancing to “help transform the way conveyancers manage enquiries”.
The investment will help Collaborative Conveyancing expand the reach of its Enquiry Manager Tool, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing to digitise and streamline management of pre-contract enquiries.
The tool will help reduce the time taken to complete a property purchase as it can extract information from emails and attachments and automatically insert them, so all the information is in one place.
The companies said that this would “streamline how conveyancing firms manage and respond to enquiries, reducing transaction times, increasing efficiencies and delivering better outcomes for consumers”. Property lawyers will also have more time so they can spend more time on advice.
Both said that conveyancers have been reliant on exchanging information with clients, other conveyancers in the transaction and third parties through email, which is a manual process that can lead to delays and mistakes.
The tool will be rolled out across Movera’s conveyancing brands, which include ONP and Cavendish Legal Group.
The partnership will also introduce a framework that will measure the impact of the tool on lowering transaction times.
Nick Hale, CEO of Movera, said: “Movera is dedicated to improving and speeding up the home buying and selling process through digital innovation. Our investment in, and partnership with, Collaborative Conveyancing is yet another step we are taking to help achieve this.
“We believe that digital innovation and automation are key to enhancing customer experiences and streamlining processes. The use of Enquiry Manager will enable our property lawyers to spend more time focused on what they do best: providing the technical support and guidance for clients, creating experiences that are digital when they can be, and personal when they need to be.”
Chris Harris, co-founder of Collaborative Conveyancing, said: “Enquiries have been on the lips of conveyancers for a number of years now. I am delighted that we have joined forces with LMS and Movera at this crucial time to offer an automated and measurable solution to the way enquiries are raised and responded to.
“We invite conveyancers to show us how they deal with enquiries at present to collaboratively work with them to improve current processes and systems to benefit the property market as a whole.”
