Redwood Bank has promoted Sam Taylor to the role of business development manager (BDM) for the East of England and East Midlands.
Taylor has been with Redwood Bank since 2020, initially joining as a credit operations officer, before becoming a business development officer in 2022 and then associate BDM in 2023.
Prior to that, he worked at McMullen and Sons for around a year as a team supervisor and as a trainee assistant manager, also for around a year. Before that, he was at Stonegate Group for around a year as a team leader.
He has also worked at Lombard as a portfolio management and fulfilment assistant, and before that worked as a corporate assistant relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland.
Andre Parcian, head of business development for the Midlands and Wales, said: “We’re committed to helping British businesses to navigate the ever-changing financial and business landscape by offering secured, individually assessed loans and simple, rewarding savings accounts.
“Prior to Sam’s latest promotion, he had been heavily involved in Redwood’s end-to-end customer journey as a credit operations officer, business development officer and most recently as associate business development manager, covering the London and South region.”
He added: “His latest promotion is particularly important to us because it comes at a time when our business development offering is growing in strength.
“We’re excited about Sam bringing his wealth of experience to managing relationships and originating new business proposals in the East of England and East Midlands region.”
Taylor added: “I am eager to engage with the relatively untapped markets in the East Midlands and East of England, where I’ll be connecting with brokers and customers to help meet their lending needs and achieve their financial goals.
“I’m fortunate to have the backing of a highly experienced underwriting team [that] will assist me to source the most suitable solutions for our customers’ lending needs.
“Redwood Bank’s innovative and flexible banking solutions are a perfect match for my drive to deliver tailored financial services to businesses and experienced landlords.”
Redwood Bank has been growing its team, hiring Chris Pallis as a BDM for Scotland.
